Rawkus Records Soundbombing II Mixtape Contest

The Mix:
· Entries must be no shorter than 20 minutes and no longer than 25 minutes and use at least 3 songs from the Soundbombing II compilation
· Entries must be submitted on cassette tape ONLY
· Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
1) Mixing and blending = how well DJs mix from one record to another (33%)
2) Creativity & Technical Prowess = DJs' personal style and skill (33%)
3) Song selection and placement = vibe (33%)

Restrictions:
· Contest is open to all ages
· Employees of Rawkus Records, Tunes.com, Sony Playstation, Triple Five Soul, Stanton are ineligible for this contest.

Judging:
Rawkus Records will be the sole decision maker. Rawkus is the only entity authorized to decide, declare and announce winners of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners. Entries must be received by 5pm July 9, 1999. The four winning mixes will be posted at TheSource.com beginning July 27, 1999. Rawkus will contact winner by mail and/or by phone, and arrange for distribution of prizes.

All entries must be mailed to Rawkus Records, 676 Broadway, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10012, attn: Soundbombing II. Entries must include name, address, day and evening phone numbers of the individual submitting the entry or will be invalid. By entering, entrants are allowing Rawkus to display and promote their name and work for promotional purposes. Entries become the property of Rawkus Records and will not be returned

Prizes:
One Grand Prize Winner will receive $1000 cash, entire Rawkus catalog and a pair of Stanton needles. Approx retail value of prize is $1400.

One First Prize winner will receive a 555 Soul outfit, pair of needles and entire Rawkus catalog. Approx retail value of prize is $600

One Second Prize winner will receive a 555 Soul outfit, pair of needles and entire Rawkus catalog. Approx retail value of prize is $600

One Runner up gets a Sony Playstation , entire Rawkus catalog and pair of needles. Approximate retail value of prize is $550
